It’s convenient to track all changes made to tasks. For example, knowing the exact date and time of creation, status changes, enabling/disabling options such as control of completion or time tracking, etc. It’s also important to understand who made these changes to the task.

That’s why Uspacy has introduced a very useful feature for these purposes, called History. Each task has a tab of the same name located next to the comments section.

Just click on it, and you will see all current changes.

Using an example of a task, let’s look at how the history of changes can be helpful ⬇️

How does It work?

So, right after creation, you noticed that you made a mistake in the description.

Of course, you correct it. And these changes are immediately displayed in the History tab.

Or you assigned a person responsible by mistake.

Then you change the roles in the task and see your actions reflected in the History tab as well.

.

But suddenly you recalled that you didn’t enable, for example, time tracking in the task and control after completion.

You activate these options and see the updates in the History tab again.

Next, you decide to change the priority of your task to speed up its completion.

As a result, you see these actions in the History tab.

At the same time, the task creator starts working on the task, and its status changes to In progress, which is also reflected in History.

Then you decide to link the task to the group.

Features of displaying history for tasks in a group

After that, it will move to the first stage, Backlog. Since the task has already been discussed and planned, you change its status to To do. The person responsible later confirms that the task is in progress and moves it to the corresponding stage. All these actions can be tracked thanks to the History tab.

❗️Note: If there is a member in the task who is NOT part of the group it is linked to, they will NOT see the changes occurring within the stages.

If the task is later linked to another group, the History of stage changes in the previous group will not be displayed. Only a record indicating a link will remain.

Detailed stage changes will only be shown in the History for the new current group.

When the person responsible completes the task, and since the post-completion control option is active, the task will receive the status Ready for review. All these actions will immediately go to the History tab.

As the task creator, accepts the completion, and the task then receives the status Done. Confirmation of these actions can be found in the same History tab.

💡For convenience, you can use the built-in Status change filter to track the entire process of planning and completing the task.
