How to record your screen?

In this article, we will explain how to record a video of your screen using built-in programs on Windows or macOS.

In some cases, the support team may ask you to record your screen in order to better understand the situation and find a quicker solution.

Windows 10 and Windows 11

  1. Use the keyboard shortcut Win + G.

  2. A toolbar will appear at the top of the screen, where you need to click the record button.

💡 To record video with audio, enable the microphone by clicking the corresponding icon.

3. To stop recording, click the stop button or use Win + Alt + R.

4.By default, the recording will be saved in the folder C:\Users\Admin\Videos\Captures.

5. Now you can share the recording with our support team.

macOS

  1. Use the keyboard shortcut Shift + Command + 5 or open the QuickTime Player from the Applications folder, then select File > New Screen Recording from the menu bar.

  2. A toolbar will appear, where you can adjust the recording settings, but it's better to select the option to Record the entire screen.

💡 To record video with audio, enable the microphone through the Options menu.

3. To start recording, click the Record button or click anywhere on the screen.

4. To stop recording, click the stop button in the menu bar or on the Touch Bar, or use the keyboard shortcut Command + Control + Esc.

5. After stopping the recording, QuickTime Player will automatically open the recorded video.

6. Now you can share the recording with our support team.
