Here we will talk about work with deal funnels in CRM, namely their creation and configuration, as well as the peculiarities of deletion

Multi funnels are a convenient functionality for sales management in CRM.

It allows you to distribute work in the company, for example, between different departments depending on their specifics, types of clients, sources of communication, work format, etc. By configuring the stages in each deal funnel, you can easily adapt CRM to your business needs.

How to create a new funnel?

📌 Please note that the number of funnels that can be created in Space depends on the plan. For more details follow this link.

You can create a new funnel right away on the deals page, both in the list and on the board.

So, to do this, you need to open the funnel switch and click on the button + new funnel.

🌟 Only an administrator or a user with the appropriate set of rights can create funnels. For others, it is only possible to switch between existing funnels. And there is no button to create a new one.

The window for creating funnels will open.

Here you will need to come up with a name for the new funnel. Edit existing standard stages: rename them, change their color and specify failure reasons that are specific to your sphere of activity. And also add your intermediate stages.

How to create your own intermediate stage?

To do this, click on the Add button.

Next, you need to (1) specify a name for the new stage and (2,3) select or configure your own color.

After that Save the stage.

💡All created intermediate stages can be deleted. To do this, just click on the trash bin icon.

How to add failure reasons?

To do this, click on the Add button.

Then you need to specify the reason and click on the checkmark to save.

How to edit standard stages of a new funnel?

To do this, you need to click on the pencil icon next to the stage for which you want to make changes.

Next, you can edit the name of the stage (1), its color (2) and Save everything (3). Or (3) Cancel the changes if you changed your mind about making them.

And when everything is ready, Save the new funnel.

After that, it will appear in the list of funnels available for work. You can check the success of the creation using the switch.

In addition, you can add a new funnel for deals in the Settings - Sections. And to go to it, you need to use the left menu or click on the gear.

Here, expand the Deals block and click on the Create a new funnel button in the Funnel settings section.

Enter the name and save.

And then expand the funnel and edit the existing standard stages, add your own intermediate ones, and also specify the reasons for failure that are specific to your sphere of activity. That is, perform similar actions as when creating the Deal page.

How to configure existing funnels?

First you need to open the funnel switcher and hover over the desired one. As a result, a gear icon will appear.

🌟 Only an administrator or a user with the appropriate set of rights can configure funnels.

After clicking on it, the settings window will open. Here you can perform all the same actions as when creating a funnel. That is, edit the existing standard stages: rename them, change the color and specify the reasons for failure that are specific to your sphere of activity. And also add your intermediate stages. And, of course, change the name of the funnel.

The same options are also available on the Settings – Sections – CRM entity settings – Deals – Funnel settings page.

How to configure funnel stages on the board?

You can quickly edit and add a new stage right on the board.

To change the name or color of a stage, click on the pencil icon. Make the necessary changes and save.

And to add a new stage, click on the purple plus icon. It will be displayed when you hover over the name of the stage near which you plan to create a new one. Enter a name, select a color and save everything.

Additional options for interaction with the funnel

They are located in the menu of interaction with the funnel, which is available when configuring it. So, you can additionally duplicate the funnel, copy the link or delete it.

How to delete funnels and stages?

To delete a funnel, you must first go into its configuration mode.

🌟 Only an administrator or a user with the appropriate set of rights can delete funnels.

Next, call the interaction menu and click Delete.

And confirm your actions.

❗️Please note that if the funnel contains deals, it will be impossible to delete it.

You can also delete it on the page Settings – Sections – CRM entity settings – Deals – Funnel settings. To do this, click on the trash bin icon, next to the name of the desired one.

You can delete a stage on the board. First, you need to switch to its editing mode. Click on the pencil icon that appears when you hover over the stage name.

🌟 Only an administrator or a user with the appropriate set of rights can delete stages.

Then click on the trash bin icon.

If you try to delete a stage that contains elements, you will receive a system message.

To successfully delete a stage, it must be empty. So clear it of deals first. And then proceed to the deletion.

❗️Pay attention! Check the filters when deleting an empty stage to make sure that there are definitely no elements attached to it.

For example, you want to delete a stage that seems to be empty.

At first glance, you’ll manage to do it. But after reloading the page, you will see that the stage is not empty.

And if you reset the filters or set them differently, you can see that the stage will not be empty.

Now, when deleting, you will be warned that you must first clear the stage of deals.

Alternative ways to delete stages

Stages can also be deleted when configuring a specific funnel.

Or on the Settings – Sections – CRM entity settings – Deals – Funnel settings page.

❗️When deleting in any way, do not forget about the empty stage rule.
