A unit of measurement is a certain standardized quantity intended for the display of quantities similar to it.

For convenience, CRM has already added a set of certain measurement units that are used for work. They are predefined in the system and available for configuration. But if necessary, you can also create your own units of measurement.

How to add a unit of measurement?

To do this, you need to go to the section Settings - Sections - CRM - Settings of CRM entities, open the Products block and expand the Units of measurement item.

🌟 Only an administrator or a user with the appropriate set of rights can add them. For others, it is only possible to use units of measurement when working with CRM.

On this page, click the + add button.

Next, enter the name and the unit of measurement. Click on the check mark to save.

After that, the newly created measurement unit will be added to the list at once and will become available for use in CRM.

How to edit or delete a unit of measurement?

To do this, it is enough to go again to Settings - Sections - CRM - Settings of CRM entities, open the Products block and expand the Units of measurement item.

🌟 As well as addition, editing and deletion is available only to an administrator or a user with the appropriate set of rights. For others, it is only possible to use units of measurement when working with CRM.

Here you can edit both the title and the symbols. All changes are automatically applied at once. Simply click the cursor outside the field that is edited.

💡 The changes made are also automatically pulled into the cards of those products for which the unit of measurement is used.

In addition, you can edit not only manually created units of measurement, but also predefined ones (except for such as Piece, pcs).

To delete, it is enough to click on the trash icon that appears when the cursor is hovered over.

After that, the unit of measurement is removed from the system.

💡It can no longer be applied in CRM. For products that had this unit of measurement in their cards, it will change to Piece, pcs.

You can delete not only created units of measurement, but also predefined ones (except for one such as Piece, pcs).

How to use the units of measurement?

Units of measurement that are available in the system (predefined and manually created) can be used in CRM:

1. When creating or editing in the product card. Here you can specify which unit of measurement to apply.

💡Here, the list displays both the name and the symbol.

2. When adding a product from the catalog to the deal.

If the unit of measurement is specified in its card, it is automatically pulled into when adding this product from the catalog.

💡The current value of the unit of measurement is contained in the product card. Therefore, it is always pulled into when adding the product to the deal.

In addition, the unit of measurement is displayed together with the quantity indicator.

The unit of measurement for the product can be changed even while working in the deal card. For example, you noticed that you did not install the one you planned. To change, click on the corresponding field and select the desired option from the list.

💡 Please note that such a change will only apply to one specific deal. This will NOT set a similar unit of measurement for that product in the catalog.

This can be checked in the following way. If you select the same product again from the catalog and add it to the deal, you will see that the unit of measurement that is exactly in the card.

Therefore, to avoid this in subsequent deals, you need to edit the product in the catalog itself. Make changes to the Unit of measurement field in the card itself.
