A deal is the process of selling your products or services to clients, which includes all stages of interaction with them. In addition, it is an element of the sales funnel that moves through its stages and helps to evaluate the success of your work at each of them.
In CRM, the deal is all the actions after the first contact with the client that lead to a sale and to the necessary result. This includes the preparation of a commercial offer, discussion of work details and payment.
How to add a deal?
Now you can add a deal manually. To do this, click on the appropriate button. It is available both in the List and on the Kanban board.
Or you can Create a deal using a contact or company card.
💡 You can also add a deal by converting the lead. It is enough to select from the list which option will be the result of its processing.

The form for creating a deal will open. Here, first specify the name of the deal, select in which sales funnel it will be included and at which of the stages, as well as assign a person responsible.
💡Don't forget to click the Save button in the funnel selection block.
❗️The Name field is required! If it is not filled out, the system will not allow you to save the deal.
Next, you need to fill out the fields contained in the card sections.
☝🏻Please note that by default the deal has its own standard set of fields. But every Space user who has access to work with this CRM entity can customize the appearance of the deal card to their preferences. That is, to arrange the fields in the desired sequence, remove unnecessary ones from the section and replace them with other fields. Create new sections or delete the existing ones.
Therefore, the appearance of the creation form will depend on the CRM card appearance settings for the deal. You can read more about this in the following article.
We will show how to fill out the fields for the standard appearance of the deal card.
First of all, specify the amount of the deal. And also select the currency from the list.
Next, specify the contacts related the deal. Find and select those that already exist in the database or create new ones.

If necessary, you can leave a comment in the Additional block. The text in it is formatted using the built-in editor.
Also, if you know where the client found information about the product or service, specify the Source. It can be a Call, Link, Email, Advertising, Partner, Recommendation and Other.
And also specify the Deal type to characterize and outline it in your database. You can select from the following options: Unknown, Active Client, Hot Deal, Warm Deal, or Cold Deal.
When all the fields you need are filled out, click Save.
After that, the deal will be available for further work with it.
It will also be displayed in the List and on the Kanban board.
Quick adding of deals
In addition to the full form, where we can enter all the information in the appropriate fields at once, there is also a quick form. It is available when working on the Kanban board.
So, to add a new deal, click on the plus icon under the name of any stage.
A form will open where you can fill out basic data such as Deal name, Amount, Currency, and Client data. To save the deal, press Enter (Return) on the keyboard or click the Create button.
After that, it will be displayed on the Kanban board.
Go to the element card and enter all the necessary data or change the stage.
Save, and the deal is ready for further work.
